As previously announced, Pokémon Go Season 1: Celebration Season start tomorrow and Niantic just released more details. There will be events throughout the season to celebrate each of the regions of the Pokémon world that have been introduced in Pokémon Go, including Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, and Kalos. The Pokemon that appears most often in the wild will change depending on your hemisphere.
Pokémon spawning more often in the Northern Hemisphere will include:
- Alolan sandshrew
- Alolan Vulpix
- Deer winter shape
Pokémon appearing more often in the Southern Hemisphere will include:
- Summer shape deer
The following Pokémon will hatch from eggs:
- Growlithe (eggs 2KM)
- Wingull (eggs 2KM)
- Baltoy (eggs 5KM)
- Ducklett (eggs 5KM)
- Shinx (5km Adventure Sync Eggs
The following Pokémon will no longer hatch eggs:
Mega Pokémon appearing in Mega Raids will include:
New Mega Pokémon will appear throughout the season, and Mega Charizard X will be boosted for the first half of the Celebration Season.
Additionally, December Community Day will be a weekend event on December 12 and 13, featuring Community Day Pokémon from 2019 and 2020. The Kalos Region Celebration will run from December 2 through December 8. The sixth season of the Pokémon Go Battle League will begin with massive changes to format, rankings and rewards.
