A new Spring loading screen has been detected in Pokémon GO network traffic. the the image has been extracted from data, which means Niantic has not confirmed or endorsed it in any way, but we decided to share it as it announces the arrival of new Pokémon!
Here’s the new loading screen in all its glory. It should be officially released on March 16, 2021 and it’s a beautiful new look to enjoy:
It’s a beautiful waterfall scene, with several Pokémon already in the game, Kricketune, Buneary, Whirlipede, Servine, and Petilil, as well as some new faces! It’s great to see some of the middle evolutions get a feature here, as the middle evolutions often tend to be the most neglected Pokémon in the family, and Servine and Whiripede look so cute here. It’s a colorful image, with pops of pink throughout and prominent flowers, hinting at new beginnings and adventures, a breath of fresh air after a sweltering 2020.
Shown here are three very obvious newbies, and a more subtle Pokémon hidden in the background. Niantic loves to hide a teaser! None of these Pokémon hinted at here currently have in-game sprites, so it can’t be activated in-game until added, but Niantic could sneak in those sprites at any time!
At the top of the waterfall we see the Fairy Legendary Pokemon type Xerneas Generation 6. We anticipate that Xerneas will debut in raids, and will surely be a popular raid boss. We talk about Xerneas in this move analysis article, so you know what to expect from this awesome Pokémon.
In the foreground we see Pancham climbing the trunk of the fallen tree, and Aromatisse, the evolved version of Spritzee, on top of the tree trunk.
Pancham is an adorable generation 6 Struggle type, which evolves into Pangoro for 50 candies. Pangoro becomes a dual type Struggle Y Dark write.
Aromatisse is the evolved form of Spritzee. Is a Fairy Generation 6 and costs 50 candy to evolve.
More hidden in the background, we have a sneak peek that many Pokémon fans are really excited about, the final Eeveelution, Sylveon.
Sylveon is a cigar Fairy Gen 6 guy, and we don’t yet know how it will evolve from Eevee. It may require an evolution item or some other specific action to evolve, but we won’t know more until it’s in the game. For a full meta-analysis on Sylveon, check out this article from babygengar.
With this new loading screen, we hope to see another new wave of Pokémon from the Kalos region soon. Publicity hype! Have you seen something that we missed? Let us know in the comments below!
