Hello coaches! Pokémon GO version 0.205.0 is now launching through the app stores. This update includes many more details on routes, rain lure resources, and more!
NOTE: This release has changed the way assets are handled, which means that all game assets will need to be re-downloaded when you upgrade. So if you don’t have an unlimited data plan, we suggest you download the update on WiFi.

The routes were pulled a couple of updates back, it seems that 0.205.0 brings more details on what they will look like. With these details, it looks like we’re getting very close to being ready for release.

It looks like the routes will have a cooldown, expiration time, and wait time before you can retry the route.

It looks like the game will keep track of how far you are from a route and how many Pokémon, PokéStops you have found.

It appears that the PokéStops and gyms that are part of the route will somehow glow to indicate that they are, in fact, part of the route and not just along the journey.

It looks like you will be able to rate a route once you are done traveling it and recommend a topic for it.

This was added to Pokémon Battles. Possibly a way to handle one-hit KOs?
There are four one-hit KO moves:
- Fissure Land
- Guillotine Normal
- Horn drill Normal
- Extreme cold Ice
It will be interesting to see how they are implemented if this is indeed a way of doing it. I have my doubts, but hey… I’ve been wrong before. A lot.
