The Season of Legacy has arrived and with it comes the fifth Day of Incense event for Pokémon Go! This time around, players will be able to get tons of Swinub, along with other Ice and Ground-type Pokémon, and we here at iMore have all the details you need to know to get the most out of this event. What is Incense Day in Pokémon Go?

Incense Day is a recurring event in Pokémon Go where players can use Incense to attract specific Pokémon sharing specific types with a Pokémon as the star of the day. Each hour throughout the event gives access to a type. This event will focus on Swinub, a Ground-type and Ice-type Pokémon, and every hour will alternate between Ice-type and Ground-type Pokémon.

When is Incense Day in Pokémon Go?

The next Pokémon Go Incense Day event will take place on Sunday, December 5, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. local time.

The schedule will go as follows:

  • 11 a.m .: Ice-type Pokémon
  • Noon: Ground-type Pokémon
  • 1 p.m .: Ice-type Pokémon
  • 2 p.m .: Ground-type Pokémon
  • 3 p.m .: Ice-type Pokémon
  • 4 p.m .: Ground-type Pokémon

Which Pokémon will be featured on Incense Day in Pokémon Go?

While Swinub is the star of this Frankincense Day, there are many other types of ice and soil that will be featured as well.

During Ice-type hours, players will be able to catch the following Pokémon:

  • Seal *
  • Jynx *
  • Sneasal *
  • swimmer*
  • Snoring *
  • Snow*
  • Galarian Darumaka *
  • Vanillite

During Ground-type hours, players will be able to catch the following Pokémon:

  • Onix *
  • Cube *
  • Rhyhorn *
  • Wooper *
  • swimmer*
  • Phanpy
  • Larvitar *
  • Barbache *

All Pokémon that are likely to be shiny are marked with an asterisk; However, Darumaka and Larvitar will also have increased Shiny’s rates.

Bonus

Players who fully evolve their Swinub during the event will get Mamoswine with the event’s exclusive charged move: Ancient Power. Remember that in addition to 125 Swinub Candy, each Mamoswine also requires a Sinnoh Stone, so be sure to refuel before the event! Players will also be able to purchase a bundle in the PokéShop containing two Incense for a single PokéCoin.

Field research for Frankincense Day in Pokémon Go

During the event, players can spin PokéStops to collect Field Research tasks exclusive to the event.

  • Catch five Ice-type Pokémon for a Swinub encounter
  • Catch five Ground-type Pokémon for a Swinub encounter
