Niantic will be taking votes for the next two Pokémon Go Community Days

Today, Niantic announced that it will once again leave the players choose the next two Community Day Pokémon. While players were able to vote by researching one of the four different Pokémon species in February, this time voting will be much easier. Starting Saturday, May 23, 2020 at 6 p.m. PST, players will be able to vote for 24 hours in a poll published by the official Pokémon Go Twitter account.

Coaches will be able to choose from four different Pokémon, each with their own exclusive community day move. Options include:

  • Squirtle – Blastoise has evolved the day the community will learn the Combat Aura Sphere movement. This exclusive movement is currently only available for Lucario.
  • Sandshrew – Kanto and Alolan Sanshrew will be featured, and Sandslash has evolved the day the community will experience the Fast Attack Shadow Claw.
  • Weedle – Beedrill evolved the day the community will learn the ground type attack drill run, a unique move for a poison and insect type Pokémon.
  • Gastly – Gengar has evolved the day the community will learn the charged Shadow Punch movement which loads very quickly, forcing your opponents to use their shields early in the battle.

The Pokémon with the most votes will be presented on Community Day in June, while the first finalist will be presented in July.
