Niantic and Verizon partner for a Pokémon Go Event

Today, Niantic announced a new sponsored event for Pokémon Go. In partnership with Verizon, this event will be available to qualifying US Verizon customers. Trainers can claim their tickets through the Verizon Up app now, until the day of the event. Then on November 7, 2020, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local time, players in the United States can enjoy a timed search line, extended incense, and special Pokémon attracted to incense.

Eligible trainers can also go to the Verizon Pokémon Go page starting today to claim codes for free, in-game Verizon-style items: a black and red hoodie and mask set. After claiming your code, it can be used at Niantic Redemption Portal. These items will only be available to qualifying Verizon customers through the end of 2020, but more Verizon-themed style items are coming to Pokémon Go soon.

On top of all this, some Verizon stores will soon become Pokémon Go PokéStops and Sponsored Gyms, offering Sponsored Giveaways and Field Research tasks. These sponsored gyms will also offer legendary raids scheduled from 2021.
