The Pokémon originally discovered in the Kalos region are coming!
Pokemon like Chepsin, Fennekin, Froakie, Fletchling, and their Evolutions are coming to Pokemon GO, including the highly anticipated Greninja and Talonflame! Pyroar will also be available in both forms.
Thanks to the hard work of the PokéMiners and the official announcement, we have a good idea of what the first wave of Pokémon Kalos will likely be. The sprites and moves added to the game go beyond the Pokémon listed in the article, so we hope to see all of them featured!
We are slowly updating our database to include the official sprites that have now been data-mined, including their shiny versions.
While many of these Pokémon were announced in the initial blog post, the addition of Scatterbug lends itself to the theory that it could be the mysterious egg of a star that was teased. Noibat, Noivern, Espurr, and Meowstic weren’t mentioned either, so it could be a great first wave.
Klefki it will be the first regional of Kalos, as exclusive to France. The Kalos region is based in France, so it makes sense for France to get its own regional exclusive. Since Gen VI is a smaller generation, we don’t expect a lot of other regionals, although there are others, like Hawlucha, that could be a regional exclusive.
In addition to the physical sprites being added, we are also beginning to see the rollout of stats and moves being added for these Pokémon. There are some definite winners and losers in these move sets and stats, with a lot to promote! We have guides coming that specifically focus on which Pokémon will be great additions to PVP, as well as which one will be incredibly useful for PVE, so stay tuned over the next few days for more detailed articles focusing on specific Pokémon, stats, and moves.
We know Noibai It is going to require a whopping 400 candies, and a distance of 5 km between friends to evolve to Noivern, making it the Magikarp of the Kalos region. Make sure you’re well stocked with those pineapple berries!
We don’t know if glitters will be introduced in this first wave, but all the sprites so far have included both the regular and shiny shapes in the game’s master file. There have been Pokémon that are completely new to the game that immediately launched their glitters, like Minccino, but for starters, we recommend managing your enthusiasm for shiny Kalos Pokémon.
Are you ready for December 2? We know we are!
