Hello coaches! When 0.207.0 was released, there wasn’t much that PokéMiners had to go on. since Niantic has brought back obfuscation with a vengeance, and much was hidden again.
However, the PokéMiners are back in more detail, so I’m going to go over both their original breakdown and their more in-depth research. You can read the breakdown of the original PokéMiners here and your deepest excavation report here. Go give them a vote in favor!
You already know about the drill, everything in this article is data-minded and therefore subject to change or not even published. You’ll also see a running theme as we go along, that much of this seems unfinished.
SettingsGuiAudioSlider Niantic.Holoholo.UI.Settings SliderChanged _audioLevelImage _volumeSprites
As originally found in 205, the volume sliders are now active in-game. Also, as a cool feature, every time you change the slider for sound, you can hear Pikachu scream.
A new system has been discovered to receive additional rewards from “side” missions. It seems that each branch will be able to reward its own reward in addition to the rewards you get from completing missions. It’s still early days so it’s hard to say what they will be used for, but they will likely be used for events, possibly Go Fest.
At this point, the branches have the following:
A title and a description
One image for each branch
Background for button when displayed
PokeDex Categories and Updates
PokedexShortcutBar pokedexShortcutCellPrefab PokedexShortcutCellView pokedexShortcutBar hiddenShortcutHeaderHeight collapsedShortcutHeaderHeight expandedShortcutHeaderHeight shortcutCollapseScrollThreshold shortcutExpandScrollThreshold shortcutBarAnimationSec pokedexListContainer pokedexRowPrefab pokedexHeaderPrefab pokedexLayout jumpAnimationSeconds
It looks like the Pokédex will get a shortcut bar, although I’m not sure what it will do …
backgroundLine PokedexRowCellView .get_CellHeight .get_EntriesPerRow
This would suggest that the Pokédex will be resizable, being able to reduce the size of the Pokémon to fit more in a row.
PokedexCategoryService PokedexCategoriesMenu MegaCategorySelected AllCategorySelected megaCategoryText allCategoryText PokedexCategoryConfig ListBackgroundColor SeparatorLineColor ShowHeaders ShowShortcutBar
This seems to be the GU for categories. It seems that the headings and shortcut bar will be hidden when you scroll down. Each category will have its own button, probably similar to the Mega button that already exists.
Today’s view event banner
photoCarouselTabView photoCarouselAutoScrollDelay photoCarouselContainer photoCarouselMainImage photoCarouselTabBarContainer photoCarouselMainTabBar photoCarouselInactiveTabBarColor livePhotoSpinnerRoot
This was also discovered in a previous data mine, this is the GUI for the Today view rotating banner. Likely for GoFest and Safari zone events.
Share and play on Facebook
gamingDomain FBGamingServices OpenFriendFinderDialog caption imageUri shouldLaunchMediaDialog UploadImageToMediaLibrary videoUri UploadVideoToMediaLibrary GamingServicesFriendFinderResult IGamingServicesFriendFinderResult LoginStatusResult
This looks like coaches will get a way to share video and footage from the game directly to Facebook.
Event ticket options
NoChoicePossible ChoiceIncomplete ChoiceComplete GetEventVariantChoiceStatus
It seems like it’s a different, or better, way of handling event ticket options like the Kanto event did. This suggests that the Kanto event wasn’t just the first event option we’ll get. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them take this approach with Go Fest.
Code to check if it is snowing in the game. This is more than likely for future shape changes or evolutions. Maybe another way to get Glaceon? Crabby evolution?
Reward items to level up
New raid mission
Added a new raid mission type that requires you to defeat a raid boss within a certain time limit. When the PokéMiners delved into this, it seemed inconsistent throughout the code, referencing raids in some places and the raid bit was missing in others. Maybe there are several different timer-based missions?
That’s it for now trainers, stay safe out there
