Trainers, we don’t usually announce specific updates (well, outside of data mining reports), but Pokémon GO update 0.191 it’s worth talking about. This update is a quality of life update that brings a handful of improvements to coach battles and party selection, and a lot is going on under the hood, but more on that in an upcoming data mining report.
These are the news of the latest Pokémon GO patch. The patch is currently rolling out for Android, for Apple users this version will show up as version 1.157 in the App Store.

Quick exchange in PvP
Niantic has finally improved the trading experience in Trainer Battles! There are now two buttons that show the rest of your party and tapping them will swap the currently active Pokémon.
Additionally, the switch animation camera angle has been changed so that you can see your Pokémon’s HP bar when your opponent is switching Pokémon.
In Trainer Battles, the swap menu now appears as two buttons showing the rest of your battle group so you can more easily swap Pokémon during battles. (2/5) pic.twitter.com/EjjvBzPxrL

Hold for more information on a Pokémon
You can now preview your Pokémon’s movements when in the battle group selection screen by long pressing the Pokémon you want to check. The information displayed shows your Pokémon’s movements, writing, and health information.

Pokémon details page improvements
- You can now jump to a Pokémon’s Pokédex entry directly from its details page. Tapping a button on a Pokédex entry will also allow you to see all the Pokémon of that species in your collection.
Soon, you will be able to see more information about the Pokémon you get on the Pokémon details page. Please note that this will not complete the information about the Pokémon you have obtained prior to this feature. (Not alive yet!)
Soon, battlegroups will be saved to your account instead of your device, which means they’ll sync when you reinstall the game or switch devices.
The Flying-type Charged Attack minigame has been slightly slowed
- You can now navigate from a Pokédex entry directly to the Pokémon storage to see all the Pokémon you have of that species.
